Christmas

One of our favorite places to go and visit in Europe are the Christmas markets in Germany. This year it worked out perfect to go and pick up our friends Jason and Emily (they caught a space-A flight from the east coast), in Germany and then explore the markets in the area. We also had the opportunity to go to the Frankfurt Temple. After our visit to Germany we came back and had Christmas at our place.

This year we started a new Christmas tradition with the Walker’s, a gingerbread house decorating contest. These were our creations!


It was clear that Jason was the winner of this year’s competition. He decided on a Island theme complete with water, sand, and palm trees!


I guess Chris didn’t get the memo that it was supposed to be gingerbread HOUSE competition….

Christmas morning


We decided to get up early Christmas morning and go take pictures at the Eiffel Tower. It was perfect because no one was around.


I love making Chris kiss me in front of the Eiffel Tower!


Christmas Day we had our good friends the, Stones, over for dinner and games.


Chris’s old mission buddy and his wife came over from Germany for New Year’s. They made us the most awesome German meal. Bratwurst cooked with apples and onions, with a side of sauerkraut. A new favorite for us!
